The RMC has indicated that a cyclonic circulation is present over Odisha and surrounding areas, extending its axis through Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and north-west Uttar Pradesh. This system has generated favorable conditions for thunderstorms in Gangetic Bengal.
As of Sunday morning, Kolkata recorded a minimum temperature of 23.9 degrees Celsius, which is 2.2 degrees above the normal range. The maximum temperature on Saturday was 31.4 degrees Celsius, 1.6 degrees below normal. The sky is expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the day, with the possibility of scattered light rain later in the evening. The relative humidity levels were noted at a maximum of 96 percent and a minimum of 55 percent.
The anticipated maximum and minimum temperatures for the coming days are estimated to be around 32 degrees and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively.
