Bengaluru, June 16 (NationPress) The Karnataka BJP has lodged a police complaint at the Bengaluru North Crime and Economic Offences and Narcotics (CEN) police station concerning offensive social media posts directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A delegation from the BJP, led by Chief Whip in the Legislative Council N. Ravikumar and former Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao, visited the police station to file the complaint with the officer in charge.

H. Venkatesh Dodderi, a senior advocate and BJP spokesperson, is the complainant in this case.

The complaint targets one Hadimani T.F., who allegedly posted a series of derogatory messages on social media against PM Modi.

According to the complaint, Hadimani's posts on a Facebook page contain defamatory content aimed at the Prime Minister, which the BJP claims offend public sentiment and seek to create discord among the populace.

In addition to the derogatory remarks about PM Modi, the complaint indicates that the accused has also launched attacks against state BJP leaders, posting humiliating messages about them.

Furthermore, the complaint highlights a controversial photo shared by the accused, depicting PM Modi with a woman, with the comment, "What is this? Our Prime Minister has abandoned his own wife."

The complainant has urged the police to implement Sections 124 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 146 (unlawful compulsory labor), 268 (impersonation), 352 (intentional insult), and 499 (defamation), among other pertinent sections.

Additionally, the complaint requests the police to charge the accused under the Information Technology Act, file an FIR, and proceed with an arrest.

BJP MLC Ravikumar stated, "One individual named Hadimani has posted extremely offensive messages against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which have outraged millions of the Prime Minister's supporters. The individual responsible for editing and circulating the photograph of PM Modi with a woman must be arrested at once."

He concluded by asserting, "Individuals like Hadimani must face consequences for their actions."

Complainant H. Venkatesh Dodderi expressed that the delegation urged the police to quickly file an FIR and apprehend the accused, emphasizing, "We want to inform the public that any attempts to defame PM Modi will hurt the sentiments of the people."

Former Bengaluru Police Commissioner Bhaskar Rao mentioned that the police have promised to take action in this case. "We have also asked the police to remain vigilant to prevent the dissemination of defamatory and objectionable content against PM Modi," he stated.
