Did KTR Demand an Investigation into Miss England's Allegations?

Hyderabad, May 25 (NationPress) The working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K. T. Rama Rao, has called for a comprehensive investigation into the claims made by Miss England Milla Magee, who has opted out of the ongoing Miss World 2025 pageant being held in Hyderabad, citing personal and ethical dilemmas.

The former minister expressed his disapproval of victim gaslighting and insisted on a meticulous inquiry.

"It requires immense courage to confront misogynistic attitudes, especially on global platforms like Miss World. You are an incredibly strong woman, Milla Magee, and I sincerely regret that you had to endure this in our state of Telangana. Our state is rich in culture, valuing and respecting women, and providing them with equal opportunities for advancement. Some of the most notable figures in our history are women like Rani Rudrama and Chityala Ailamma. Sadly, your experience does not reflect the true essence of Telangana. I hope you recover soon," Rama Rao conveyed.

"As a father to a daughter, I wish that no woman or girl ever faces such dreadful situations. I vehemently condemn the mentality of victim gaslighting and advocate for a thorough investigation into the allegations presented by Miss England Milla Magee," stated the BRS leader.

Milla Magee has withdrawn from the beauty competition and returned to her home country.

In statements to the British tabloid 'The Sun', the Miss England contestant revealed that the environment of the pageant did not correspond with her ideals of 'beauty with a purpose'.

She mentioned that contestants were compelled to wear makeup at all times and were required to remain in ball gowns throughout the day, including during breakfast.

"The definitive moment came when they were reportedly asked to socialize with middle-aged men as a token of appreciation for their financial contributions to the event," The Sun quoted her as stating.

However, Julia Morley, Chairman and CEO of the Miss World Organisation, asserted that Milla Magee requested to exit the competition due to a family emergency concerning her mother's health.

"We approached Milla's situation with empathy and quickly arranged for her return to England, prioritizing the well-being of the contestant and her family. Regrettably, we have learned that certain UK media outlets have disseminated false and defamatory statements, allegedly made by Milla Magee, about her experience in India. These claims are entirely baseless and inconsistent with the reality of her time with us," she remarked.
