New Delhi, Jan 24 (NationPress) Amit Malviya, the national convener of the BJP IT cell, has made serious allegations against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that he is involved in corruption through the sale of election tickets for the upcoming Delhi polls.
Malviya posted a video on his X handle featuring Rajesh Rishi, the current MLA representing the Janakpuri Assembly constituency, who accuses both Kejriwal and the leadership of AAP.
“Rajesh Rishi, the current MLA for Janakpuri Assembly, is revealing the truth about the AAP. Allegations state that Arvind Kejriwal has sold assembly tickets. Those winning by purchasing tickets will only exploit the public,” Malviya remarked in his post.
He urged voters to make sure that not a single candidate from 'AAP-Da' emerges victorious.
In the video, Rishi asserts that AAP has transformed into a party motivated by greed, claiming that a “premium” is now being demanded for assembly election tickets. “Every ticket in the elections now comes with a price. AAP has turned into a party of looters. I was asked to pay Rs 5 crore for a ticket,” Rishi alleged in the video shared by Malviya.
Moreover, Rishi accused AAP's candidate from Janakpuri, Praveen Kumar, of being corrupt. This time, Kumar has been awarded the ticket in place of Rishi.
Rishi also stated that individuals who were denied tickets by Kejriwal were long-time allies who had initially supported him for his principles.
“When I inquired Kejriwal about why I was denied a ticket, he had no answer,” Rishi added.
He further provided internal data indicating that AAP is losing its influence in various wards of Janakpuri. Rishi accused Kejriwal of abandoning the core principles of the party, focusing solely on maintaining power, and labeled him as a leader who has succumbed to corruption.
As the Delhi elections approach on February 5, AAP has nominated Praveen Kumar from the Janakpuri constituency, replacing Rajesh Rishi. The BJP has put forth Ashish Sood, while the Congress has nominated Harbani Kaur.
