A police representative confirmed that after finishing various medical and legal processes, all five suspects were presented to the court to request police custody for additional investigation.
Heavy security measures were implemented in and around the Shillong court. The 24-year-old Sonam Raghuvanshi, identified as the primary suspect, was brought to Shillong late Tuesday night. Alongside her were four other suspects: Raj Singh Khushwaha (21), alleged to be Sonam's lover and the mastermind, as well as Anand Singh Kurmi (23), Akash Rajput (19), and Vishal Singh Chauhan (22), who were transported to the Meghalaya capital on Wednesday.
