Patna, Nov 6 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce critique of the Congress and the RJD during an election rally in Bhagalpur. He accused both parties of fragmenting Bihar based on caste and communal divisions, while firmly stating that the Congress can never cleanse the stains of the Bhagalpur massacre.
“The RJD has dragged Bihar into caste-based violence, while the Congress has incited communal unrest. The Congress will never be able to erase the stain of the Bhagalpur massacre, just as they cannot erase the bloodshed of Sikhs. The mark of the Bhagalpur massacre will remain on the Congress’s record forever,” PM Modi asserted.
He further alleged that the destructive politics of the RJD and Congress have forced Bihar's youth to seek opportunities elsewhere.
“Those who indulge in the politics of devastation do not support Bihar’s growth. Their actions have resulted in the youth of Bihar facing the hardship of migration. The NDA is committed to ensuring that Bihar’s youth find success within Bihar and uplift its glory,” he stated.
PM Modi also claimed disunity within the Congress and RJD alliance.
“Despite lacking power today, they are busy undermining each other. There are numerous posters of RJD leaders, but can you spot a single Congress leader on them? Conversely, during Congress rallies, RJD leaders’ names are hardly mentioned. There exists such a level of untouchability that they fear each other’s presence,” PM Modi added, noting that Congress leaders remain mute on RJD’s announcements.
Earlier, PM Modi spoke at a rally in Araria, where he also criticized the Grand Alliance.
He accused a Congress leader of disrespecting Chhath by labeling it as mere drama.
“This is a grave insult to Chhath Maiya. Our mothers and sisters fast without even sipping water. The RJD stays silent when such disrespect occurs. I believe the women of Bihar will never allow the return of lawlessness,” he expressed.
Touching on the initial phase of polling, the Prime Minister remarked that the enthusiasm on the ground reflects support for the ruling alliance.
“Only one message resonates throughout Bihar -- once more, NDA. Behind this sentiment are the aspirations of the youth and the determination of mothers and sisters. Long queues have been visible since morning, with women and youth participating in large numbers. I commend all voters,” PM Modi concluded.
Polling in both Bhagalpur and Araria is scheduled for November 11 as part of the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections.
