Mohan Babu Sustains Blunt Injury Beneath Left Eye, Medical Team Reports

Hyderabad, Dec 11 (NationPress) Esteemed Tollywood actor Manchu Mohan Babu suffered a blunt injury below his left eye when he was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday, according to statements from the medical team at Continental Hospitals.
Dr. Guru N. Reddy, the Chairman and Managing Director of Continental Hospital, conveyed to the press that Mohan Babu appeared distressed and was not in a condition to comprehend the situation.
Currently, Mohan Babu is receiving treatment from a specialized team of doctors, including cardiologists, neurologists, and plastic surgeons, requiring close monitoring and observation, as stated by Dr. Reddy.
The actor's hospitalization followed a confrontation at his residence in Jalpally, triggered when his son, actor Manchu Manoj, intruded during an ongoing dispute.
In an incident involving the press, Mohan Babu reportedly assaulted a TV reporter with a microphone when questioned about his disagreement with his son.
The medical bulletin revealed that Mohan Babu arrived at the hospital at 8:30 p.m., presenting with symptoms of widespread body pain, anxiety, and a prior episode of loss of consciousness.
“He received immediate medical attention from specialists in the Emergency Department, and after a comprehensive examination, it was confirmed that he had a blunt injury below his left eye, alongside high blood pressure, an elevated heart rate, and significant heart rate variability. All necessary specialists responded promptly to his condition,” the bulletin states.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Raghuveer indicated that further treatment decisions would be made following a CT scan.
Meanwhile, Mohan Babu’s elder son, actor Manchu Vishnu, addressed the media at the hospital, stating that his father was injured during the incident at home. He expressed that their father loved them dearly, acknowledging that it was an unfortunate mistake.
“We belong to a joint family, and this incident has brought us great sorrow, but we remain hopeful for a resolution,” he commented.
Vishnu emphasized that every family encounters difficulties and urged the media not to sensationalize the situation. He recognized the media's role in keeping the public informed but noted that some individuals were overstepping boundaries.
Additionally, he revealed that their mother had also been hospitalized, and as the eldest son, he was experiencing distress.
Vishnu mentioned that he had been in Los Angeles for the post-production of ‘Kannappa’ but returned home promptly upon learning of the unrest.
He also expressed regret over the injury sustained by a reporter during the incident, clarifying that it was unintentional. He explained that their father approached the media with respect but reacted impulsively when a microphone was thrust towards him. He assured that assistance would be provided to the injured journalist’s family.
