Yadav also advised the recipients to follow road safety protocols. 'Scooty chalate samay sabhi bachche yatayat niyamon ka palan karein,' he said, according to an official statement issued after the event.

Khushi Rai, identified as the MP topper, told Yadav she is simultaneously preparing for the Chartered Accountancy examination while pursuing a B.Com degree, and that the scooter would considerably ease her daily college commute.

Akash Sahu, who comes from a farming background, shared his plan to launch an agriculture startup. Students Ravi Kevat and Mariyam Khan expressed aspirations to become Chartered Accountants, while Mini Jain aims to pursue a career in neurosurgery after clearing NEET. Rani Sanpale wants to study law, Khushi Yadav is targeting an MBBS seat, and Shiv Kumar Kaul plans to pursue software engineering, citing the vision of a developed India.

Revised Eligibility Criteria From 2026

Notably, the scheme's eligibility bar has been raised starting 2026. Students must now secure a minimum of 70 per cent marks in Class 12 and must also rank first in their respective schools — a tighter dual criterion compared to earlier norms. The change signals a shift toward rewarding both absolute achievement and school-level distinction simultaneously.

Cumulatively, more than 23,000 students have benefited from the scheme since its inception, according to state government data. Chief Minister Yadav congratulated all recipients and reiterated the administration's intent: 'The government is committed to encouraging meritorious students and facilitating their journey towards higher education,' he said. The scheme specifically targets students from government schools, a segment that often faces greater mobility and resource constraints compared to peers in private institutions.
