The Minister stated that 3,186 registration centres have been established throughout Madhya Pradesh to facilitate a seamless and efficient process. He urged farmers to ensure their registration within the designated timeline.

The registration initiative commenced on February 7 and will be open until March 7.

According to the Minister, 4,42,288 farmers have successfully registered for wheat procurement at the support price for the current Rabi marketing season.

The MSP for wheat has been set by the central government at Rs 2,585 per quintal for the 2026-27 season, marking an increase of Rs 160 from the previous year.

Farmers have registered as follows: 54,587 in Indore division, 148,905 in Ujjain, 9,695 in Gwalior, 4,692 in Chambal, 39,885 in Jabalpur, 34,181 in Narmadapuram, 100,09,134 in Bhopal, 13,260 in Rewa, 2,551 in Shahdol, and 25,398 in Sagar.

Rajput mentioned that notifications will be sent to farmers whose mobile numbers were registered in past Rabi and Kharif seasons via SMS.

Additionally, instructions have been issued to display registration information on Gram Panchayat notice boards, to announce it in villages, and to place banners at committee and market levels.

Successful registration will require valid documentation, including land records, Aadhaar cards, and other forms of photo ID. Aadhaar-based verification is mandatory and can be completed via OTP sent to the registered mobile number or through biometric verification.

The name on the Aadhaar card must align with land records; any discrepancies will be addressed through verification at the tehsil office prior to approval.

Special provisions have been made for tenant farmers, sharecroppers, Kotwars, and forest land leaseholders. These farmers are only allowed to register at cooperative society-operated centres, followed by thorough verification by the Revenue Department. Institutions that were deemed ineligible in previous years will not participate in this year's process.

Payments for the procured wheat will be prioritized for transfer to farmers' bank accounts linked to their Aadhaar numbers.

In situations where Aadhaar linkage issues occur, payments may be directed to the bank account details provided during registration, which include the bank name, account number, and IFSC code. However, inactive joint accounts and accounts with private service providers will not be accepted.
