NCC from J&K Set to Represent the Region Proudly at Republic Day Parade

New Delhi, Dec 30 (NationPress) Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Ladakh are gearing up to take center stage during the Republic Day celebrations on January 26, as NCC cadets from these regions ready themselves to march on Kartavya Path.
In the last month, these cadets have engaged in intensive training, exhibiting remarkable commitment and eagerness to present the rich culture, advancements, and dreams of their region.
Major General Anupinder Bevli, ADG NCC Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, expressed his pride in the cadets' dedication, commenting, "I am extremely proud of their diligent efforts and I am confident that, similar to last year, this year as well, the cadets from Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh will return after making our region proud through their contributions."
A significant highlight of this year’s parade participation is the incorporation of the Air Squadron in the preparations. Cadets have also been trained in cyber security, in line with Prime Minister Modi's vision for a developed and technologically advanced India. In pursuit of this vision, the NCC plans to expand considerably, with an initiative to recruit 3 lakh new cadets.
Major General Bevli stressed the significance of discipline and accountability among the youth, encouraging them to utilize social media responsibly. "If it leads you astray, first consult your family and then reach out to us for guidance and correction," he urged.
During their training sessions, the cadets illustrated the region’s developmental achievements through symbolic displays. One cadet proudly remarked, "We are the voice of the youth of J&K and Ladakh, the crown of India. Following the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, the youth are experiencing a new phase of progress. The Tiranga waving at Lal Chowk symbolizes economic advancement and improvements in literacy, with the rate increasing from 55 percent in 2001 to 77 percent in 2021. Prestigious institutions like IIT, IIM, and AIIMS now stand as beacons of education and innovation.
Technological advancements have soared, with more than 90 percent of households in J&K and Ladakh enjoying access to 4G networks. The cadet added, "The youth aspire to enlist in the uniformed services, proudly serving the nation and contributing on an international scale."
As the representatives of the region head to Delhi, they carry the hopes and dreams of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, ready to make their presence felt on the national stage.
