New Delhi, May 20 (NationPress) Driven by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aspiration to foster a culturally vibrant nation, Kuljeet Singh Chahal, Vice Chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), engaged with participants at the Viksit Bharat Summer Art Workshop held at Navyug School, Sarojini Nagar, on Tuesday, as confirmed by an official source.
This initiative, which commenced four days ago, seeks to infuse colors, creativity, and cultural richness into the lives of participants, stated Chahal.
“Today, I motivated students and artists to channel their creativity towards realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat,” he remarked.
During his visit, Chahal interacted with esteemed Padma Shri awardees and senior artists, commending their contributions while delving into the artistic vision behind their creations.
Chahal announced that once the workshop concludes, these significant artworks will be showcased in a new Art Gallery to be established on the Navyug School campus in Sarojini Nagar.
“This initiative will stand as a lasting homage to the artists and inspire students,” he noted.
He emphasized, “We have invited distinguished artists from all over the country to expose NDMC school students to the vast array of art forms from various Indian states. This interaction will enhance their understanding and appreciation of India’s cultural legacy — a crucial step towards achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat.”
Chahal also pointed out that numerous artworks created during the workshop reflect the theme of Operation Sindoor by Padma Shri artists.
“Today’s India is not merely striving towards becoming a Viksit Bharat but is also evolving into a bold and resilient nation. The success of Operation Sindoor symbolizes this bravery and delivers a powerful message to those who threaten India’s sovereignty,” he articulated.
He added that Operation Sindoor will be a focal theme in the students’ artworks throughout the workshop.
Notable artists participating in the NDMC-organized summer art workshop include Padma Shri Awardees: Bhajju Shyam (Madhya Pradesh), Adwaita Gadanayak (Odisha), Biman B Das (New Delhi), Jai Prakash (Rajasthan), as well as Senior Artists: Surendra Jagtap, Anil Naik (Maharashtra), Viren Tanwar, Pranam Singh (Uttar Pradesh), Dattatreya Apte, Narendra Pal Singh, Kanchan Chander (New Delhi), Kalyan Joshi, Jagannath Panda (Haryana), and Manish Gond (Himachal Pradesh).
