New Delhi, May 7 (NationPress) Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday commended the Armed Forces for their exceptionally successful military operations across the border. He noted that these actions were executed with precision, alertness, and sensitivity, ensuring that no civilian lives were put at risk. Singh emphasized that the Armed Forces adhered to the principles of Lord Hanuman in neutralizing threats beyond our borders.
While inaugurating 50 BRO infrastructure projects across six states and two Union Territories, the Defence Minister stated: "We have embraced the ideal of Hanuman ji, just as he did while dismantling Ashok Vatika—those who harmed us, we struck back. Our focus has been exclusively on those who have endangered our innocent citizens,” he remarked, acknowledging the Armed Forces’ commitment to precision, caution, and compassion.
“The targets we aimed for were dismantled with utmost accuracy due to our carefully devised strategy. We ensured that civilian populations were not affected in any way,” the Defence Minister added.
He attributed the success of these operations to the operational freedom granted to the forces by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Under PM Modi’s guidance, our forces executed a decisive counter-response by obliterating terrorist training camps,” Singh stated.
Further lauding the bravery of the Armed Forces, he affirmed that India maintains the right to respond to any acts of terrorism on its soil and is prepared to confront those who wish to harm the nation.
“This operation was conducted with careful consideration and a measured approach. Aimed at undermining the morale of terrorists, it targeted only their camps and related infrastructure. I once again commend the valor of our armed forces,” he remarked.
The Armed Forces initiated a pre-dawn operation on Wednesday, targeting key terrorist sites across the border in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, destroying terror factories and neutralizing over 70 terrorists.
