Jabalpur, April 21 (NationPress) The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) initiative, which commenced in 2019, aims to enhance the financial support for land-holding farmers and is significantly transforming the agricultural landscape across the nation. In the Jabalpur district of Madhya Pradesh, numerous farmers expressed to IANS how the PM-KISAN program has brought about meaningful changes in their lives.

Dilip Kumar Sen, a resident of Temar Bhita in Jabalpur Cantt, shared that he has engaged in small-scale farming since his early years, assisting his father as agriculture has been the family's mainstay for generations.

He noted that under previous administrations, they encountered numerous challenges, such as waiting in lengthy lines for fertilizers, seeds, and diesel for tractors; however, such difficulties have diminished under the current government led by Modi.

“Not only for us but for many, fortunes have improved since Narendra Modi took office,” he remarked.

“We are receiving sufficient support through the PM-KISAN scheme, which is immensely beneficial. We are deeply grateful to PM Modi,” he added.

Similarly, Ganpat Jharia, a farmer from the Temer Bhita region of the Cantt Assembly, shared his experience.

He indicated that his family has relied on agriculture for many years but had never received such governmental support before.

“In the past, we had to fight for everything, but now we are witnessing the transformation,” Jharia informed IANS.

“We appreciate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the financial assistance provided through the PM-KISAN scheme,” he stated.

This initiative offers a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of farmers via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism.

The most recent, 19th installment of the PM-KISAN Nidhi was dispensed by PM Modi on February 24 of this year in Bhagalpur, Bihar. Over 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.41 crore female farmers, nationwide have benefited from this program, with financial aid surpassing Rs 22,000 crore transferred to their accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
