PM Modi Criticizes Congress for Overlooking Ambedkar's Vision

Khajuraho, Dec 25 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday accused the Congress of 'disrespecting' Dr B.R. Ambedkar and not giving him 'credit' for his vision regarding the nation's development and his significant achievements.

Speaking at a public event in the historic city of Khajuraho, PM Modi stated that the Congress has consistently marginalized Dr Ambedkar's vision for the nation. He mentioned that the party only attributes credit to members of a single family.

While inaugurating the Ken-Betwa river linking project, PM Modi highlighted that Dr Ambedkar was the first leader to provide a vision for 'Jal Shakti' after India gained independence from British rule.

'Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar recognized the water issue and proposed a vision for Jal Shakti. However, he has not been acknowledged for his foresight and accomplishments. The Congress has continually disrespected Dr Ambedkar, attributing all recognition to one family,' PM Modi remarked.

He further noted that Dr Ambedkar understood that without water, progress for the country is unattainable. 'Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee aimed to advance Dr Ambedkar's vision for Jal Shakti, which led to the conception of a river interlinking project. Unfortunately, after 2004, this initiative lost momentum,' PM Modi commented.

The Prime Minister's remarks occurred amidst a heated exchange between the BJP and Congress regarding a recent statement made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Parliament.

PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the Ken-Betwa River linking project, recognized as the nation’s first river interlinking initiative under a national perspective plan. This endeavor aims to deliver irrigation solutions to various districts in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, benefiting countless farming families.

Additionally, PM Modi unveiled a commemorative stamp and coin celebrating the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

He also inaugurated 1153 Atal Gram Sushasan buildings, which will significantly contribute to the effective execution of duties and responsibilities of Gram Panchayats, fostering good governance at the grassroots level.

Furthermore, PM Modi inaugurated the Omkareshwar Floating Solar Project located in Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.

In his address, PM Modi remarked that Madhya Pradesh has experienced growth over the past year under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

He expressed that the citizens of Madhya Pradesh have placed their trust in the BJP due to the effective governance provided by the BJP administration. 'A comparison should be made regarding the governance systems in BJP-led states versus those governed by other parties. I firmly believe that BJP-governed states will excel in good governance,' PM Modi asserted.

He criticized the Congress for announcing numerous projects during its tenure, most of which remained unexecuted for decades. He emphasized that the BJP government launches projects with a forward-thinking approach for the country's future.

'I have noticed that many projects declared 30-40 years ago were never realized. Conversely, the BJP government is committed to 100% execution. This highlights a fundamental difference between the governance styles of Congress and BJP,' he added.

PM Modi urged knowledgeable analysts to evaluate the 75 years post-Independence governance. 'An evaluation is necessary. We should determine 100-200 parameters for development, public interest, and good governance, then assess the performance of Congress, Left, and Communists against the BJP's record... I am confident that where the BJP has had the opportunity to lead, we have shattered previous records and succeeded in executing public welfare and development initiatives... We work tirelessly to fulfill the dreams of our freedom fighters...'

He criticized the Congress for neglecting the water crisis affecting Bundelkhand and other regions of the country.
