PM Modi expressed his appreciation for the honor of being present on the revered land of Maa Kamakhya just before the commencement of Navratri.
"I feel fortunate to have your darshan on this sacred land of Maa Kamakhya right before the Navratri festivities," remarked PM Modi.
The Prime Minister mentioned that with the blessings of Maa Kamakhya, the foundation stones and inaugurations for projects valued at Rs 19,500 crore were executed promptly.
PM Modi highlighted that Assam is set to benefit from a diverse range of projects, from initiatives aimed at achieving self-reliance in the energy sector to enhancements that improve the travel experience for visitors to Assam.
He emphasized that Assam is playing a pivotal role in realizing the country's renewable energy goals.
PM Modi pointed out that the Lower Kopili Hydro Power Project will serve not only Assam but the entire North East region.
"These multi-crore projects are generating new job opportunities for Assam's youth and are enhancing the economic landscape of the state," asserted PM Modi.
The Prime Minister conveyed that the essence of the current double-engine government lies in its attentiveness and effective governance.
He affirmed that the government's focus is on the development of all regions and societal segments.
In this spirit, a significant initiative was launched today for the workforce engaged in Assam's tea gardens.
PM Modi acknowledged that the dedication of these workers has bolstered Assam's global reputation, with the aroma of their tea becoming synonymous with India's identity on the world stage.
He stated that the present administration is providing these workers with both dignity and support.
Additionally, he congratulated Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his team for their commendable efforts on behalf of the tea garden families.
PM Modi noted that the Assam government is actively working to rectify historical injustices; families are now obtaining their own land, with pathways being cleared for them to secure permanent housing.
He observed that this initiative will particularly benefit women residing in tea gardens.
PM Modi expressed hope that the children of tea garden worker families would excel in their studies and progress in life, asserting that the current government has established all necessary facilities for their success.
