PM Modi Reaches Bhubaneswar for 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas

Bhubaneswar, Jan 8 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed at Bhubaneswar Airport on Wednesday to take part in the three-day 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention.
Upon his arrival, PM Modi was greeted by the Governor of Odisha, Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and other prominent leaders.
Subsequently, the Prime Minister traveled in a motorcade to the Odisha Raj Bhavan, where he is set to spend the night.
To honor PM Modi, various traditional Odia cultural programs were held at approximately eight locations along the route to Raj Bhavan. During his journey, the Prime Minister acknowledged the crowds gathered on both sides of the road by waving.
On Thursday, PM Modi is expected to officially inaugurate the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention at Janata Maidan.
Additionally, he will inaugurate four exhibitions at Janata Maidan and explore the promotional stalls representing various union ministries and state governments, including Odisha, Maharashtra, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, and Gujarat.
Following his participation in the PBD convention, he will return to Delhi on Thursday.
On January 10, President Droupadi Murmu will deliver the valedictory address at the three-day convention, along with presenting the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards.
It is noteworthy that the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention commenced in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday, marked by the inauguration of the Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar.
Delegates at the convention actively engaged in various plenary sessions on the inaugural day of the three-day event.
CM Majhi expressed that the PBD convention, hosted in Bhubaneswar for the first time, will remain a treasured memory for both the attendees and the people of Odisha.
