Priyanka Gandhi's 'Bangladesh' Bag Sparks Conversation Following 'Palestine' Display

New Delhi, Dec 17 (NationPress) Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra entered Parliament on Tuesday, making a bold statement with her bag, which featured a message directed at the Hindu and Christian minorities in Bangladesh.
This action followed her previous day's display of support for Palestine with her bag that prominently showcased the 'Palestine' tag alongside symbols representing the troubled nation.
Inscribed on the bag she carried on Tuesday was the phrase, "Bangladesh ke Hindus and Christians ke saath khade ho" (stand with the Hindus and Christians of Bangladesh).
Wayanad MP, along with other Congress representatives, also demonstrated outside Parliament against the persecution of minorities in Bangladesh. They were seen with cream-colored handbags. Numerous opposition members held placards and bags to show their solidarity with the affected minorities.
During her speech in Parliament on Monday, Priyanka highlighted the issues surrounding the safety and security of minorities, including Hindus and Christians, in Bangladesh.
"The government should address the atrocities faced by Hindu and Christian minorities in Bangladesh. It needs to discuss these issues with the Bangladesh government and provide support to those suffering," she emphasized.
Later, in an informal chat with reporters outside Parliament, she expressed her desire to speak on 'Vijay Diwas' but was interrupted before she could finish her statement.
She informed journalists of her intent to discuss how the Indira Gandhi administration had managed the country during the Bangladesh War, labeling it a conflict of principles.
Priyanka noted a similar predicament unfolding in Bangladesh, where minorities like Hindus and Christians are under threat.
The Congress leader urged the government to prioritize the safety of minorities and engage in dialogue with the Bangladesh government regarding these issues.
