BJP Leaders Criticize Priyanka Gandhi for 'Palestine' Handbag; Congress Stands by Her

New Delhi, Dec 16 (NationPress) BJP leaders targeted Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for showcasing a handbag marked with a prominent ‘Palestine’ label during a parliamentary session on Monday, as Congress came to her defense.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Dinesh Sharma commented, "The mindset of all three members of the Gandhi family reveals a foreign perspective, a foreign front."

Union Minister of State Banwari Lal Verma remarked, "Priyanka Gandhi carried a Palestine bag, yet she should have opted for a bag representing India instead. By introducing unrelated topics, she is merely engaging in theatrics."

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale stated, "I believe that no one should receive credit for appeasing minorities, as injustice is prevalent. Priyanka Gandhi claims that every citizen, leader, and worker in India is voicing concerns about injustices faced by Hindu individuals in Bangladesh. They deserve protection, and no injustice should be inflicted upon them."

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari pointed out, "With 'Palestine' inscribed on Priyanka Gandhi's bag, it is evident that she lacks connection to India. Just a few days ago, it bore the name 'Italy', and now it features 'Palestine'. Who knows when 'India' will make an appearance on it?"

BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat asserted, "The terms 'democracy' and 'system' are practically non-existent in the lexicon of the Congress party and its leaders, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Our nation is recognized for its vastness and its democratic history. Their mindset raises significant concerns."

In response to the situation, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Gulam Ali Khatana stated, "Individuals engage in such actions for publicity. When they are rejected by the populace, they resort to such measures."

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said, "She aims to demonstrate that Congress engages in politics of appeasement. They are oblivious to the plight of victims in Bangladesh, focusing solely on Palestine. She tweets about Gaza more than 20 times but remains silent on the issues faced by Bangladeshi Hindus. The Congress party is a party that prioritizes Muslim appeasement."

Meanwhile, Congress MP Rajeev Shukla defended Priyanka’s decision, stating, "Children are being killed in Palestine, hospitals are under attack, and she is raising awareness about this on humanitarian grounds."

AIMIM Spokesperson Waris Pathan also commented on Priyanka Gandhi’s 'Palestine' handbag, saying, "Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mahatma Gandhi all supported Palestine. We have consistently backed Palestine."
