Patna, Nov 6 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, made a pointed critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a significant rally in Bihar's Purnia on Thursday. He accused the Prime Minister of distracting the youth of the nation by offering them inexpensive data, referring to it as the 'addiction of the 21st century', rather than creating jobs.

Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd, LoP Rahul Gandhi stated that PM Modi had substituted genuine opportunities with virtual distractions.

“Your Prime Minister came here and told you he has given you the intoxication of the 21st century. What used to happen earlier through alcohol or drugs, now happens through Instagram and Facebook. Youth keep watching reels 24 hours a day,” LoP Rahul Gandhi expressed.

He challenged the audience, asking, “How much money have you earned from Instagram, Facebook or making reels? Has any of that come into your pocket? You want jobs or Instagram?”

LoP Rahul Gandhi further accused PM Modi of taking away job opportunities from Indian youth and transferring them to China.

“He doesn’t tell you that he took away your employment and gave it to the youth of China. He made the youth of Bihar labourers,” he stated.

According to LoP Rahul Gandhi, under PM Modi’s leadership, the youth in Bihar were compelled to migrate for work while wealthy industrialists profited.

He also took aim at the state’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging that his “remote control” was in PM Modi’s hands.

LoP Rahul Gandhi made these comments amid the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections, urging young voters to “resist vote theft” and “protect the Constitution.”

He reiterated that the INDIA Bloc aims to focus on job creation, establishing universities, and revitalizing Bihar's educational heritage with a world-class Nalanda University.

“We want to put money into your pockets, not in the pockets of billionaires,” LoP Rahul Gandhi concluded, asserting that the Mahagathbandhan government would prioritize the poor, the marginalized, and the working class.

Point of View

Rahul Gandhi’s remarks reflect a growing concern regarding employment among the youth in India. His criticism of PM Modi’s policies taps into a broader narrative about the challenges facing young people today, especially regarding job opportunities.
