Rajasthan CM Criticizes Congress for Disrespecting Ambedkar

Jaipur, Dec 25 (NationPress) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma delivered a fierce critique of Congress on Tuesday, accusing the historic party of showing disrespect towards Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
During a press conference held at the BJP headquarters, the CM lambasted the opposition for neglecting its duties both in Delhi and Rajasthan.
Sharma remarked that the challenges now being highlighted by the opposition should have been addressed right after Independence.
He stressed that the initiatives of his party and government are deeply rooted in the principles of Antyodaya, as promoted by Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar. Sharma noted that since 2014, Prime Minister Modi has redefined welfare for the impoverished, with the government operating in alignment with Baba Saheb's vision.
Sharma accused Congress of being hypocritical, asserting that the party was now feigning respect for Baba Saheb while it had previously ridiculed him. He claimed that Congress had compelled Baba Saheb to resign and challenged Congress leaders to produce the resignation letter to disclose its contents. Additionally, he highlighted that during Baba Saheb's campaign, Congress was actively against him.
He noted that after Ambedkar stepped down from Nehru's cabinet, he was denied the opportunity to speak in the House.
"I urge Congress to present the resignation document submitted by Baba Sahab. What was his grievance? Why did Congress not offer him a ticket in 1952 and 1954? The citizens deserve answers to these queries," Sharma stated, further adding, "You compelled him to resign and prevented him from voicing his concerns in sadan," he said regarding Ambedkar.
Sharma insisted that his resignation must be made public.
He also pointed out the many memorials established for figures like Nehru and Sanjay Gandhi, questioning why Congress did not create any in honor of the architect of the country's Constitution. He further claimed that Congress not only forced Baba Saheb to resign but also denied him a platform to speak in Parliament.
Sharma further posed the question, "Despite Congress' lengthy rule, why was Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar never conferred the Bharat Ratna?"
He added that it was the administration of Atal Bihari Vajpayee that awarded him this prestigious honor, followed by the Modi government, which has worked to uphold Baba Saheb's legacy. He emphasized that Congress failed to establish a single memorial for Baba Saheb, while they named numerous roads and memorials after the Gandhi family.
Sharma criticized Congress' politics revolving around caste, religion, and corruption, accusing Rahul Gandhi of inappropriate conduct in Parliament, including pushing MPs and disrespecting women. He declared that Rahul Gandhi should feel ashamed and remarked that Congress should not misuse Baba Saheb’s name for political advantage.
According to Sharma, Congress lacks substantial issues and has never prioritized the nation's development. He accused the party of being power-hungry and ready to do anything to reclaim control.
Sharma expressed confidence that the Indian populace has begun to reject Congress' strategies. He assured that the citizens would continue to hold Congress accountable moving forward. He reiterated that his government is guided by Baba Saheb's principles, with a focused approach toward progress over the past year.
Bharatiya Janata Party State President Madan Rathore and Rajasthan's Deputy Chief Minister Dr Prem Bairwa were also in attendance.
