During the launch event, where the campaign’s website and promotional video were presented, the Chief Minister articulated that this initiative symbolizes the commencement of a thorough movement aimed at fostering a Developed Rajasthan.
This campaign will create a tailored development strategy that aligns with local needs for all Gram Panchayats and urban wards statewide. He urged citizens to engage actively to promote comprehensive and inclusive development, enhancing the standard of living for every individual.
CM Sharma stressed the importance of the master plan, which should embrace not only infrastructure improvements but also the utilization of local resources, traditional skills, and employment opportunities. He pointed out that this approach would help preserve demographic stability in villages and mitigate urban migration.
He instructed officials to meticulously identify and catalog the agricultural practices, flora, mineral resources, traditional crafts, and industries of each village. In areas focused on agriculture, there will be a particular emphasis on developing processing units, mandis, and value-added facilities to boost income and create local job opportunities.
Reflecting on recent successes, the Chief Minister mentioned that over 1.25 lakh young people have secured government employment, approximately 16 lakh women have become Lakhpati Didis, and financial aid to farmers has seen an increase. Consequently, Rajasthan’s per capita income has surpassed Rs 2 lakh for the first time.
The Chief Minister also mandated the creation of detailed socio-economic profiles for each village, encompassing critical sectors like education, healthcare, infrastructure, electricity, water supply, and employment.
District Collectors have been tasked with directly interacting with farmers, youth, and women to compile feedback. He also encouraged the establishment of local groups similar to Rajeevika and cooperative societies, along with youth teams to assist in Panchayat-level planning and development efforts.
Referring to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister highlighted that Rajasthan has unveiled its Vision Document for Viksit Rajasthan 2047. This campaign expands on previous budget announcements concerning master plans for rural and urban development, striving to formulate a structured roadmap that mirrors local aspirations and requirements.
CM Sharma recalled that ‘Brihad Rajasthan’ was founded on March 30, 1949, by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The state government has pledged to commemorate Rajasthan Day annually on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, coinciding with the Hindu New Year.
In his greetings for Rajasthan Day, Chaitra Navratri, and the New Year, he expressed pleasure at the extensive celebrations throughout the state.
Chief Secretary V. Srinivas described the campaign as a crucial step towards realizing the vision of Developed Rajasthan 2047.
He mentioned that the implementation in rural areas will be spearheaded by the Panchayati Raj Department, while the Local Self-Government Department will oversee urban execution. The master plans will set short-term (2030), medium-term (2035), and long-term (2047) objectives.
The inaugural Gram Sabhas and Ward Sabhas are scheduled for March 20 across all Panchayats and urban wards. These sessions will introduce the campaign’s goals to the community.
Subsequent consultations will occur in stages, with local teams collecting data and stakeholder insights. Final drafts for master plans will then be presented in these assemblies for discussion and enhancement.
