Jodhpur, Aug 29 (NationPress) Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has stated that the investigation into the SI recruitment exam paper leak case is ongoing and that the identities of the “big fish” are yet to be disclosed.
During a media interaction on Friday while visiting his home district, Shekhawat urged the public to remain patient, asserting that the truth will surface as the Special Operations Group (SOG) concludes its investigation.
Commenting on the Rajasthan High Court’s decision to annul the Sub-Inspector recruitment exam, Shekhawat remarked: “While the court has annulled the exam, a final decision is still awaited. The SOG is diligently investigating the matter. We must respect the court's ruling and allow the investigation to reach its conclusion. The BJP has always maintained that those who jeopardize the future of the youth should face consequences.”
The court's ruling highlighted the involvement of members from RPSC as well.
In response, Shekhawat indicated that those implicated so far are merely “small fishes,” while the “big fishes” remain undiscovered. He reminded that prior to the elections, he had warned that many “white-collar” individuals, who now appear prominent, would eventually find themselves in legal trouble.
Addressing remarks made by Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bihar, Shekhawat accused them of undermining the Constitution while feigning respect for it.
He stated: “The Congress party requires serious self-reflection. Rahul Gandhi has faced defeat in over 100 elections across various locations. This is why he is feeling disheartened. While I empathize with him, I urge him to engage in self-reflection.”
On the subject of global trade challenges and the US tariff situation, Shekhawat asserted that India will not compromise the interests of farmers, fishermen, and small businesses. He recalled how India triumphed over sanctions following Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s nuclear tests and expressed confidence that India would once again transform challenges into opportunities through improved quality and reduced costs.
At the Jodhpur airport, the Union Minister also honored BSF jawan Ramesh Popawat, who was martyred on duty in West Bengal. He met with the grieving family and offered condolences. The martyr's final rites will be conducted with full military honors in his hometown of Boyle.
