Rohtas Police Require Notification for Bouncer Employment

Patna, Dec 10 (NationPress) Rohtas Superintendent of Police (SP), Raushan Kumar, stated on Tuesday that the district police have initiated strict measures aimed at individuals who hire bouncers without notifying the local police station.

This initiative seeks to control the rising trend of individuals showcasing personal bodyguards, frequently armed, in public to demonstrate authority.

"Those hiring bouncers are required to inform the police station in their respective area, detailing the reason for engaging such personnel," Kumar mentioned.

He elaborated that the district police would create a detailed list of all bouncers and carry out a verification process.

This process will involve examining the security agencies that are responsible for their assignments.

"The police will assess the arms licenses of bouncers, including verifying the issuing state and its legitimacy, to ensure adherence to legal standards. Should a bouncer become involved in any illegal activity, both the bouncer and the employer will face legal repercussions," Kumar added.

The directive has instilled concern among prominent figures and leaders who depend on armed bouncers to assert dominance.

SP Kumar underlined that these actions are designed to prevent the abuse of bodyguards for intimidation purposes and to guarantee public safety.

This decision follows reports of individuals in Rohtas and adjacent districts utilizing armed bodyguards in public settings, raising alarms about law and order.

In Dehri, a town in Rohtas district, Zahid Parvez, known as Kakku Khan, a resident of Subhash Nagar Ward Number 14, has faced scrutiny for appearing in public with four armed bodyguards. This situation has ignited a broader discussion regarding the misuse of personal security in the district.

SP Kumar commented on the matter, stating: "A complaint was lodged regarding Zahid Parvez alias Kakku Khan seen in public with four armed personal bodyguards. They were summoned to the police station for questioning. If any public figure or notable individual employs personal bodyguards and displays weapons publicly, it constitutes a severe breach of regulations. Rohtas Police will enforce strict measures against such individuals."
