Barmer, Jan 31 (NationPress) The enigmatic death of the esteemed religious narrator and devotional artist Sadhvi Prem Baisa has prompted significant police action in Rajasthan. Taking decisive action in this high-stakes case, Jodhpur Police Commissioner Omprakash has established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to facilitate a comprehensive and unbiased investigation.

In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Om Prakash confirmed that a nine-member SIT has been assembled to explore all possible angles.

"Currently, we have commenced gathering statements from individuals associated with her," he stated.

Regarding the injection given to her moments before her passing, he added that all aspects are under scrutiny, and our investigation is actively ongoing.

The SIT will be led by ACP Chhavi Sharma. Law enforcement officials have suggested that a broader conspiracy might be involved at this point.

Investigators are analyzing technical evidence, including mobile call logs, CCTV footage from the ashram, and other digital data to piece together the events leading to Sadhvi Prem Baisa's death.

A pivotal element of the inquiry centers on an injection reportedly administered shortly before her death. Authorities have detained and interrogated compounder Devi Singh, who allegedly administered the shot.

Officials are investigating whether the injection was given under a doctor's recommendation, what medication was used, and its possible connection to her demise.

The police are anticipating the post-mortem report, which is expected to shed light on the precise cause and timing of her death.

The SIT's investigation will not only consider external suspects but will also interview Sadhvi Prem Baisa's father, Viramnath, alongside individuals connected with the Sadhana Kutir Ashram located on Pal Road, Jodhpur.

Police are delving into internal conflicts, financial dealings, and operational matters of the ashram to uncover potential links to the case.

Originally hailing from Pareu village in Balotra, Prem Baisa experienced early challenges after losing her mother at the tender age of two. Guided by spiritual mentors Sant Rajaram and Sant Kriparam Maharaj, she excelled in Bhagwat Katha and devotional singing, ultimately achieving statewide acclaim.

Her ashram, Sadhana Kutir, was inaugurated by notable personalities including Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev. The circumstances surrounding Sadhvi Prem Baisa's death have raised profound questions throughout Rajasthan. Whether it was a natural occurrence or part of a more intricate conspiracy will be determined by the SIT's inquiry.
