Patna, Oct 25 (NationPress) The Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a fierce critique of Lalu Prasad Yadav, the chief of RJD, during a substantial rally in Khagaria on Saturday. He held the previous administration responsible for the escalating crime rates in Bihar.

“Under Lalu’s governance, incidents of murder, robbery, extortion, kidnapping, and massacres were commonplace. The populace lived under constant fear,” stated HM Shah.

He asserted that the disintegration of law and order during the RJD period pushed industries away, hindering Bihar’s progress.

Contrasting that era with the current situation, HM Shah commended the governance under Nitish Kumar and the NDA for restoring stability and combating Left Wing Extremism.

“This election is not just about choosing MLAs or ministers to send to Patna. It will determine whether lawlessness prevails or development continues,” he remarked.

In outlining the NDA’s priorities, HM Shah emphasized education, timely medical care, irrigation, and household water supply as the four essential pillars for Bihar’s advancement.

He accused the opposition Grand Alliance of being characterized by corruption and dynastic politics, claiming that Lalu’s family was seeking personal power while the Congress was promoting dynastic ambitions at the national level.

“Lalu Prasad wants his son to become Chief Minister, while Sonia Gandhi aims to make her son Prime Minister,” HM Shah stated.

The Home Minister also highlighted the personal integrity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, noting the absence of corruption charges against them, while pointing to various scams tied to Lalu’s regime, including the fodder scam.

Addressing the INDIA bloc’s stance on national security and migration, HM Shah claimed that the opposition favored permitting “infiltrators” to stay, pledging NDA action to identify and expel them if re-elected.

Rahul Gandhi claims that infiltrators should remain in Bihar. I ask you, should we permit infiltrators to stay here? I assure you that if you re-elect the NDA government, we will work to identify and expel every single infiltrator from the country,” he declared.

Additionally, HM Shah praised recent welfare initiatives by the Bihar government, including transfers of Rs 10,000 to Jeevika members, increases in pensions for widows and the elderly, enhanced honoraria for ASHA workers, and advancements in the Patna Metro project. He commended PM Modi for fortifying the nation both economically and militarily.

HM Shah also conveyed greetings for the Chhath festival, invoking prayers for law and order, women's safety, and Bihar’s development. He expressed his wishes to Chhath Maiya for a peaceful and prosperous state.

“The magnificent festival of Chhath has commenced globally, in Bihar, and across Purvanchal. Our mothers and sisters have initiated the Chhath Puja with the Nahay-Khay ritual. I sincerely wish everyone in Bihar a joyful Chhath festival. I pray to Chhath Maiya that Bihar remains free from lawlessness, that law and order is upheld, that our sisters and daughters are safe, and that Bihar becomes a developed state in the future. This is my prayer to Chhath Maiya,” he concluded.
