Significant Seizure of Arms, Ammunition, and Narcotics by Security Forces in Kupwara, J&K

Srinagar, Dec 18 (NationPress) Security forces reported on Wednesday that they have unearthed a significant stash of arms, ammunition, and narcotics during their operations in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
Officials stated, “During a search operation in the vicinity of Amrohi, Tangdhar within Kupwara District, security forces, including the Army and police, confiscated four pistols, six pistol magazines, four kilograms of narcotics, and various other incriminating materials.”
In a bid to dismantle the terror ecosystem in J&K, security forces have launched a vigorous campaign against terrorists, their Over Ground Workers (OGWs), and sympathizers.
Assets worth crores belonging to drug traffickers and peddlers have been seized in the Kashmir Valley following necessary orders from the relevant authorities.
Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha has been overseeing high-level security meetings.
During these discussions, the LG has issued explicit instructions to security forces to take a comprehensive approach against the terror ecosystem.
On Thursday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lead a top security review meeting concerning J&K in Delhi.
Leaders from Intelligence agencies, police, CAPFs, and others involved in the anti-terrorist framework in J&K are expected to participate in this meeting.
Security forces have adjusted their tactics following a series of heinous attacks by terrorists that occurred after the peaceful participation of citizens in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections in J&K.
These elections were observed by diplomats from various nations, which, according to Intelligence agencies, has infuriated the terror handlers based across the border in Pakistan.
Intelligence reports suggest that the terror handlers have instructed terrorists in J&K to make a final attempt to sustain their failing terrorism.
Increased vigilance is also being upheld along the border in J&K due to reports indicating that terrorists are positioned at launching pads, ready to infiltrate into Indian territory before the mountain passes close with the onset of snow this season.
