Tragic Incident in Purnea, Bihar: Three Lives Lost Due to Illicit Affair

Patna, Dec 25 (NationPress) Three individuals were tragically killed as a result of an illicit relationship in Purnea district of Bihar on Tuesday.
The event took place in Balua Toli village under the jurisdiction of Aamaur police station in Purnea district.
The victims have been identified as Sazia (4), Dil Ara (2), and Mohammad Taukir (16).
According to Vikas Kumar, the Station House Officer of Aamaur police station, the tragedy originated from an illicit relationship between Nazreen (23) and her nephew Mohammad Taukir.
Nazreen and Taukir were allegedly discovered in a compromising situation by Nazreen’s brother-in-law on Monday night around 10 p.m. The brother-in-law raised an alarm, confronted Nazreen, and reportedly attacked her. He also informed her husband, who works as a daily wage laborer in Punjab, about the situation.
“After facing humiliation from the revelation of their relationship, Nazreen and Taukir made the decision to end their lives. They allegedly strangled her two minor daughters before attempting suicide. As they could not muster the courage for such drastic measures, Nazreen assisted Taukir in taking his own life. Consequently, she strangled Taukir but failed to take her own life,” Kumar stated.
This harrowing incident in Balua Toli village occurred sometime between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m..
“We received information about the incident around 6 a.m. and promptly arrived at the scene. Nazreen was apprehended and confessed her actions during the questioning,” Kumar added.
Nazreen has been charged under relevant sections of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, and further investigations are ongoing. Additionally, the police have arrested Nazreen’s brother-in-law, who is accused of provoking her to commit these acts. The investigation is ongoing as authorities strive to ensure justice for the victims.
“We have recovered the bodies of the victims and sent them for autopsy. Nazreen’s husband has been informed about the incident. The family of Mohammad Taukir has also been notified. The accused has admitted to having an illicit relationship with Mohammad Taukir for the past three months,” Kumar concluded.
