Agartala, April 25 (NationPress) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday instructed the Superintendents of Police (SPs) across all eight districts to consistently provide essential information to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat concerning the presence of any Pakistani nationals in the state, as per officials.
An official from the Chief Minister’s Office (CM) stated on Friday evening that the Chief Minister also urged the District Magistrates (DMs) of all eight districts to maintain vigilant observation and immediately notify the administration regarding any such occurrences, particularly in light of a recent terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The instructions were conveyed during a high-level video conference held at the state secretariat, during which the Chief Minister assessed the state's law enforcement status, developmental projects, and readiness for the forthcoming Monsoon season.
Senior officials and departmental secretaries participated in the meeting.
Highlighting the necessity for proactive measures, Saha, who also oversees Home and Disaster Management portfolios, advocated for preventive strategies to guarantee uninterrupted power supply amidst potential storms or cyclones. He directed departmental leaders to promptly rectify any inadequacies within the system.
The Chief Minister further emphasized the significance of enhancing public awareness regarding cybercrime and recommended that routine press briefings should be conducted to educate citizens about the nature and prevention of cyber threats.
An official remarked that during the meeting, the DMs and SPs from all districts submitted reports regarding their respective areas, outlining the measures being implemented to address ongoing challenges, including those related to health services, drinking water, education, road infrastructure, and irrigation systems.
Prominent officials present included Principal Chief Conservator of Forests R.K. Shyamal, Law Secretary Sanjay Bhattacharya, Special Secretary of the Planning (Statistics) Department Abhishek Chandra, Revenue Secretary Brijesh Pandey, Health Secretary Kiran Gitte, Urban Development Secretary Abhishek Singh, and Transport Secretary C.K. Jamatia.
Additional senior officials from the Education, Labour, Tourism, Social Welfare, Information, and Cultural Affairs departments, along with the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, also took part in the extensive review meeting.
