Agartala, Feb 13 (NationPress) Tripura's Chief Minister Manik Saha announced that the state is on its way to becoming a model for successful development initiatives, a feat made achievable by the current environment of law and order, peace, and harmony.
The Chief Minister remarked on Thursday that the state government is devoted to promoting good governance and has implemented special policies aimed at fostering industrial development within Tripura.
During the event, where he unveiled a book titled 'Strategic Approach to Industrial Development Roadmap' created by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), he emphasized that following this roadmap will greatly enhance long-term industrial growth in the state.
"This roadmap is set to transform Tripura into a regional hub for trade and manufacturing. Priority will be given to sectors such as rubber, bamboo, and food processing for industrial advancement," he stated.
The Chief Minister pointed out that Tripura is making significant strides in executing the Central government's vision documents.
"Rapid development in states contributes to national progress. Currently, numerous investors from outside the state are eager to establish industries in Tripura, and the ADB's roadmap is crucial for attracting these investments," he noted.
Chief Minister Saha further mentioned that the support from the Asian Development Bank is vital for constructing a 'new Tripura'.
"This assistance marks a significant milestone for the state. Our goal is to boost industrial growth by effectively leveraging the state’s available raw materials and workforce," he concluded.
Present at the event were Asian Development Bank Country Director Mio Oka, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Secretary Kiran Gitte, along with other high-ranking officials.
