New Delhi, Oct 31 (NationPress) The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) announced a significant strategic and technological examination aimed at shaping the future of Aadhaar over the next decade through the newly introduced ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ framework. This initiative acknowledges the swiftly evolving technological and regulatory environment.
As stated by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, this visionary plan is set to fortify Aadhaar's technological infrastructure, incorporate cutting-edge digital innovations, and guarantee that India's digital identity platform remains resilient, inclusive, and ready for future challenges.
The ministry highlighted, “UIDAI’s technology framework, which underpins Aadhaar services and supports our digital economy, is undergoing a significant enhancement.”
To steer this transformative journey, UIDAI has formed a high-level Expert Committee, led by Neelkanth Mishra, Chairperson of UIDAI.
This committee comprises distinguished experts and leaders from various fields, including academia, industry, and governance, who will provide strategic guidance on enhancing Aadhaar’s innovation trajectory.
The committee is tasked with creating the Aadhaar Vision 2032 document, which will detail the framework for a next-gen Aadhaar architecture that aligns with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and international standards for privacy and cybersecurity.
According to the ministry, “The Aadhaar Vision 2032 framework will emphasize the utilization of pioneering technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Quantum Computing, Advanced Encryption, and next-gen Data Security strategies.”
These advancements aim to ensure Aadhaar's resilience against emerging cybersecurity threats, scalability for future needs, and adaptability to the rapidly evolving digital environment.
The committee also includes key members such as Bhuvnesh Kumar, CEO of UIDAI; Vivek Raghavan, Co-Founder of Sarvam AI; Dheeraj Pandey, Founder of Nutanix; Sasikumar Ganesan, Head of Engineering, MOSIP; Rahul Matthan, Partner at Trilegal; Navin Budhiraja, CTO & Head of Products; and Vianai Systems.
