Lucknow, March 20 (NationPress) The government of Uttar Pradesh is set to distribute appointment letters to 1,228 newly appointed nursing officers this Sunday, a strategic move aimed at enhancing healthcare services and creating job opportunities for the youth in the state.
During the ceremony at the Lok Bhavan auditorium in Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will personally present appointment letters to 492 candidates. The remaining 736 candidates will receive their letters from various public representatives at live events across 13 government medical colleges and two medical institutions.
Officials have confirmed that the newly appointed nursing officers will be assigned to government medical colleges located in Agra, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Meerut, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Kannauj, Azamgarh, Jalaun, Saharanpur, Banda, and Badaun, in addition to the JK Cancer Institute and Heart Institute in Kanpur.
Amit Kumar Ghosh, the Additional Chief Secretary for Health and Medical Education, mentioned that the Chief Minister has instructed relevant departments to address vacant positions to bolster healthcare services and provide job opportunities for young individuals.
As part of this initiative, the Medical Education Department has commenced the recruitment process for vacant nursing officer posts across government medical colleges and institutions. The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission in Prayagraj has successfully concluded the selection process for the 1,228 candidates.
Dr. Sarika Mohan, Secretary and Director General of the Medical Education and Training Department, highlighted that the recruitment comprises 1,097 women and 131 men, who will be deployed in the designated institutions.
While the Chief Minister will hand out appointment letters to 492 candidates in person at Lok Bhavan, the remaining 736 candidates will receive theirs through live events organized at their respective medical colleges and institutions.
This year, the state government has set an ambitious goal to provide government employment to 1.5 lakh youth. To achieve this, multiple recruitment processes are currently active across various departments.
Previously, on International Women's Day (March 8), appointment letters were distributed to 94 newly selected chief service supervisors. Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has recently conducted examinations for 4,543 posts of sub-inspectors and equivalent ranks, alongside ongoing recruitment activities across different state departments.
