Chennai, Dec 18 (NationPress) The leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), Vijay, is set to speak at a significant campaign rally in Vijayamangalam, located in the Erode district of Tamil Nadu, this Thursday. This event marks his first major public appearance in the state following the tragic incident that occurred on September 27 in Karur.

Scheduled between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., the rally carries substantial political weight as it takes place in the locality of Sengottaiyan, a former AIADMK member who recently joined TVK.

The venue, situated near the Vijayamangalam toll booth along the Perundurai highway, is anticipated to draw around 35,000 attendees. To accommodate this considerable crowd, the area has been organized into 72 sections, each designed to hold approximately 400 people. Organizers have implemented four layers of barricades to maintain order and safety, establishing a buffer of 50 meters between Vijay's campaign vehicle and the crowd.

A specially crafted campaign vehicle, which arrived late on Wednesday, is fortified with iron sheets to deter overzealous supporters from breaching security. The meticulous arrangements signify extensive preparation.

Two lakh half-litre water bottles will be handed out to those attending, along with 20 temporary drinking water tanks and 20 mobile toilet units positioned throughout the site.

To oversee crowd and vehicle movements, 60 CCTV cameras have been installed, supplemented by drone surveillance.

Medical readiness includes a team of 58 doctors and 14 ambulances available for emergencies. The site has been equipped with 14 entry and exit routes to facilitate smooth movement for both the public and volunteers.

Parking has been arranged 1 kilometer away from the rally location, with 20 acres designated for two-wheelers and 60 acres for four-wheelers.

A robust police presence is ensured, with 1,797 personnel deployed to uphold law and order during the event.

TVK administrator Sengottaiyan has inspected the setup ahead of the rally to confirm that all arrangements are satisfactory.

Volunteers and supporters from Erode and nearby districts are expected to arrive early to help with crowd management and support attendees.

This rally represents a key opportunity for Vijay and his supporters to showcase their political might, especially in western Tamil Nadu, as the party aims to broaden its reach.

The extensive preparations highlight the importance of this event, which could play a pivotal role in consolidating TVK's influence in anticipation of upcoming elections.
