Yogi Adityanath Connects with Akharas and Saints' Representatives Ahead of Mahakumbh 2025

Prayagraj, Dec 7 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, on Saturday took the initiative to engage with akharas and representatives of saints as part of the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025.
Yogi emphasized that the essence of the Mahakumbh's holiness and grandeur is deeply rooted in the revered saints, with the government merely acting as a supportive partner in its organization. He pointed out that the current global recognition of Sanatan culture is a direct result of the blessings and guidance from the saint community.
“The blessings of saints are the bedrock of everything positive associated with Mahakumbh. We eagerly anticipate their guidance for fair administration this time as well,” stated the Chief Minister during an interaction with saints in the Maha Kumbh Mela area.
During his visit to Prayagraj, the Chief Minister extended invitations to representatives from all 13 Akharas, in addition to those from the Khak-Chowk, Dandibara, and Acharyabara traditions, along with pilgrimage priests, to attend a special program scheduled for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on December 13.
CM Yogi mentioned that the Prime Minister would perform a puja at Sangam and inaugurate projects worth thousands of crores, aimed at ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized Mahakumbh. The saint community collectively expressed their willingness to participate in this significant event, reflecting their commitment.
Addressing the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025, CM Yogi acknowledged some delays in project completion due to the slow receding of the Ganga waters but assured that the state government was determined to meet the expectations of the saint community.
He underscored the necessity of cooperation from the sadhu-saint community to maintain the cleanliness of the sacred rivers and to enhance the experience of every pilgrim visiting the Triveni Sangam.
“The advancement of Sanatan society is achievable only under the guidance of saints. We must collaborate to ensure that Mahakumbh 2025 is even more magnificent than Kumbh 2019. With the blessings of saints and the guidance of the Prime Minister, the world is witnessing the transformation of Ayodhya, Varanasi, and Braj Dham,” he remarked.
The saint community expressed profound gratitude towards CM Yogi Adityanath for his direct engagement and proactive measures in addressing their concerns.
