In his tribute, PM Modi highlighted Netaji's remarkable legacy, stating, "Netaji did not confine himself to his comfort zone. Although he was born into affluence and successfully passed the civil services examination, he opted to devote his life to the nation’s struggle for freedom rather than enjoy a life of ease. In the same spirit, to achieve the goal of a Viksit Bharat, we must step outside our comfort zones, strive for excellence, and enhance our global competitiveness."

Speaking to the audience, PM Modi remarked, "This year's Parakram Diwas is being celebrated in Netaji's birthplace, Cuttack, Odisha. I express my gratitude to the people and government of Odisha for hosting this significant event. A major exhibition celebrating Netaji's life is also being conducted in Cuttack, which will invigorate 'My Bharat.'"

PM Modi underscored Netaji's unwavering dedication to 'Azad Hind', stating, "Netaji's foremost aspiration was 'Azad Hind'. To realize this ambition, he remained resolute. He established the Azad Hind Fauj, which brought together courageous men and women from all parts of India, transcending linguistic barriers. This sense of unity is essential for achieving a Viksit Bharat."

He added, "In the past, unity was vital for Swaraj. Today, it is crucial for realizing the vision of Viksit Bharat. We must stay alert against forces aimed at dividing our nation."

PM Modi also pointed out Netaji's deep pride in India's heritage, stating, "Netaji Subhas was immensely proud of India's legacy and rich cultural heritage. Currently, India is shedding the vestiges of colonial mindsets and moving forward with renewed confidence in its cultural richness."

Reflecting on significant milestones, PM Modi said, "I had the honour of hoisting the flag at the Red Fort in 2018 on the 75th anniversary of the Azad Hind Government. Our government has dedicated a museum to Netaji at the Red Fort, initiated the Subhas Chandra Bose Aapda Prabandhan Puraskar, and unveiled Netaji's statue near India Gate."

The Prime Minister also showcased India's advancements over the past decade, stating, "In the last ten years, 25 crore Indians have been lifted out of poverty. Modern infrastructure is being developed in both rural and urban areas, and India's global presence has significantly strengthened. The day is near when India will emerge as the world’s third-largest economy."

"Let us keep pushing towards the mission of Viksit Bharat. This will be our genuine tribute to Netaji," PM Modi concluded.

Earlier in the day, PM Modi paid his respects to Netaji at the Central Hall of Parliament, interacted with students, and raised the slogan 'Jai Hind', resonating with Netaji's enduring spirit.
