Kolkata, Feb 10 (NationPress) The 2025 PGTI Players Championship is slated to commence at the Tollygunge Club in Kolkata from February 11 to 14. This tournament features a remarkable prize purse of ₹1 crore and signifies the launch of the 2025 PGTI season. The Pro-Am event is scheduled for February 15.

The tournament will attract a total of 124 players, comprising 121 professionals and three amateurs. Notable Indian professionals, including local favorites SSP Chawrasia and Rahil Gangjee, along with Rashid Khan, Chikkarangappa, Yuvraj Sandhu, Karandeep Kochhar, defending champion Manu Gandas, Om Prakash Chouhan, and Udayan Mane, will be competing.

International competitors include players from Bangladesh such as Jamal Hossain, Badal Hossain, and others, alongside Sri Lankans N Thangaraja and K Prabagaran, Italians Michele Ortolani and Federico Zucchetti, Czech Stepan Danek, Americans Koichiro Sato and Dominic Piccirillo, as well as Subash Tamang from Nepal.

In addition to SSP Chawrasia, other Kolkata-based professionals include Shankar Das, Mohammad Sanju, Divyanshu Bajaj, Indrajit Bhalotia, Feroz Ali Mollah, and Karan Verma. The three local amateurs taking part are Varish Mohta, Suveer Kapoor, and Anshul Mishra.

Harmander Bindra, Golf Captain at Tollygunge Club, expressed pride in hosting the prestigious PGTI Players Championship 2025.
