According to the Marine Drive police, hotel personnel discovered him unresponsive in his room on the morning of March 30, after several attempts to reach him went unanswered. The hotel management promptly transported him to Bombay Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival.
Preliminary investigations revealed no indications of foul play. Police officials from Marine Drive noted that the autopsy revealed nothing suspicious; however, they have registered a case of unnatural death, and further inquiries are currently in progress.
Langford returned to his accommodation late on March 29 after completing his duties at an IPL match. His lack of response the following morning prompted hotel staff to alert the authorities, leading to the grim discovery. Langford was a seasoned professional, regarded as a key contributor to the broadcast team, ensuring smooth coverage of IPL matches.
