New Delhi, March 20 (NationPress) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a cash reward of Rs 58 crore for the victorious team of the 2025 Champions Trophy. Each of the 15 players and head coach Gautam Gambhir will receive Rs 3 crore, as stated by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia to IANS.

Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, India excelled in the eight-team tournament, defeating Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand to finish at the top of Group A. They secured a semi-final win against Australia by four wickets and clinched the title against New Zealand at the Dubai International Stadium on March 9.

The prize distribution also includes Arshdeep Singh, Rishabh Pant, and Washington Sundar, who did not participate in any matches during the 2025 Champions Trophy.

"The 15-member Indian squad who triumphed in the 2025 Champions Trophy will each receive Rs 3 crore. Head coach Gautam Gambhir will also receive Rs 3 crore," Saikia confirmed to IANS on Thursday.

Saikia elaborated that the remaining coaching staff, including batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, assistant coaches Abhishek Nayar and Ryan ten Doeschate, fielding coach T Dilip, and support personnel such as physiotherapists Kamlesh Jain and Yogesh Parmar, team doctor Aditya Daftary, throwdown specialists Raghavindraa Dvgi, Nuwan Udeneke, and Dayanand Garani, along with masseurs Chetan Kumar, Rajeev Kumar, and Arun Kanade, and strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai, will receive Rs 50 lakhs each.

Moreover, Saikia mentioned that BCCI officials associated with the Indian team during the tournament, including the media manager and liaison officer, will each receive Rs 25 lakhs.

Additionally, chief selector Ajit Agarkar will be awarded Rs 30 lakhs, while other committee members Subroto Banerjee, Ajay Ratra, S Sharath, and Shiv Sunder Das will receive Rs 25 lakhs each.

Saikia also disclosed that the International Cricket Council (ICC) has allocated approximately Rs 19.45 crore to the champion Indian team, which will be distributed solely among the players, with each squad member receiving Rs 1,43,58,000.
