Mohali, Oct 22 (NationPress) Punjab FC has enhanced their roster with the acquisition of Dani Ramirez Fernandez, a Spanish attacking midfielder, marking him as the club's second international signing this season, following Samir Zeljkovic.

The 33-year-old player has joined Punjab FC on a one-year deal, arriving on a free transfer. Prior to this, Ramirez played for Manisa FK in Turkey's TFF First League.

Born in Leganes, Spain, Dani Ramirez initiated his youth career at his local club, CD Leganés, before advancing to Real Madrid, where he honed his skills for four seasons and played for Real Madrid C. In 2014, he transferred to Valencia CF B, continuing his development in Spain's competitive lower leagues.

His career path also included stints at Getafe CF and Internacional de Madrid before he ventured abroad in 2017 to join Polish side Stomil Olsztyn SA. His remarkable performances there led to a transfer to LKS Lodz, where he played for two seasons before joining Lech Poznan, clinching the Ekstraklasa title in the 2021–22 season.

After his fruitful tenure in Poland, Ramirez had a spell in Belgium with Zulte Waregem before returning to LKS Lodz.

Most recently, at Manisa FK during the 2024–25 season, he made 34 appearances, netting seven goals and providing four assists, demonstrating his creativity and experience in midfield.

As a technically proficient playmaker celebrated for his vision, passing range, and attacking acumen, Dani Ramirez brings a wealth of experience from various European leagues and is anticipated to play a pivotal role in Punjab FC's journey leading up to the AIFF Super Cup 2025, commencing October 25 in Goa.
