Chambal Ghariyals extended their flawless run in the Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup 2026, clinching a four-wicket win over Indore Pink Panthers at Daly College, Indore on 14 June to record their sixth straight victory and preserve a 100 percent win rate in the tournament. In the day's second fixture, Royal Nimar Eagles overpowered Ujjain Falcons by 27 runs in a high-octane run-fest that saw 477 runs scored across both innings.

Ghariyals Bowl Out Panthers for 120

Indore Pink Panthers were in trouble almost immediately, slipping to 5/2 in the second over with star batter Venkatesh Iyer among the early departures. Siddharth Patidar and Aayaam Verma steadied the innings with a 44-run partnership, but the recovery proved short-lived. Patidar was run out for 22 off 17 balls, triggering a fresh collapse. Verma contributed 21 off 27 deliveries and Shubham Rathore chipped in with a brisk 22 off 16, but the Panthers were eventually bundled out for 120 in their 20 overs.

Tripuresh Singh was the pick of the Ghariyals' attack, returning figures of 3/29 in four overs. Aman Bhadoriya and Sandeep Singh took two wickets each, while Mayur Patel was impressively economical with 1/14 in three overs.

Ghariyals Wobble but Hold Nerve in Chase

Chasing 121, the Ghariyals made an uncertain start of their own, losing Apurve Dwivedi for 1 off 2 balls and captain Shubham Sharma for 10 off 6 deliveries shortly after. The middle order also struggled, leaving the side precariously placed at 107/6 in the 16th over. Gautam Raghuwanshi and Aman Bhadoriya then held their composure to guide the team home without further alarm. Raghuwanshi finished unbeaten on 32 off 25 balls to seal the win. Anvesh Chawla was the Panthers' standout bowler, claiming 4/32 in four overs.

Tripuresh's three-wicket haul also lifted him to the top of the tournament's wicket-taking charts, with 13 wickets in six matches earning him the Purple Cap. 'To be honest, the Purple Cap is a nice achievement, but I'm happier that we won. Even though we lost a few wickets, the atmosphere in the dugout remained very positive,' Tripuresh said after the match.

Eagles Post a Mammoth 252/3 Against Falcons

The second game at Daly College produced even more fireworks. Royal Nimar Eagles batted first and posted a tournament-defining 252/3 in their 20 overs. Openers Dharmesh Patel (34 off 21) and Himanshu Mantri (17 off 12) raced to 50 inside the first five overs to set the platform.

Kanishk Dubey and Anand Bais then took complete control, stitching a 106-run partnership that broke the Falcons' spirit. Dubey smashed 57 off 31 balls, featuring five sixes and two fours. Bais remained unbeaten on 78 off 40 deliveries, striking four sixes and six boundaries. The finishing act belonged to Abhishek Mavi, whose blistering unbeaten 55 off just 17 balls — featuring eight sixes and a boundary — propelled the Eagles past the 250-run mark.

Falcons Fall 27 Runs Short Despite Late Fireworks

Ujjain Falcons began their reply in disarray, losing captain Chanchal Rathore and Yash Dubey inside the first three overs to slump to 22/2. Ojaswa Yadav provided the top-order's only bright moment with an aggressive 45 off 23 balls, but the fifth wicket fell with the score at 101. Rishi Miglani (29 off 13) and Ankur Chauhan (50 off 29) mounted a spirited fightback in the middle overs, and Harshvardhan Hardia added late fireworks with an unbeaten 41 off 12 balls. The Falcons ultimately finished on 225/8, falling 27 runs short of the target.

'Our openers gave us a very good start, which allowed us to build the innings according to our plans. The idea was to play positive cricket in the powerplay, rotate the strike well and take calculated risks. We knew that if we had wickets in hand towards the end, our middle order and finishers could accelerate and maximise the scoring in the final overs. That approach worked well for us,' said Bais after the Eagles' victory.

The Royal Nimar Eagles' commanding victory over the Falcons further tightens the race for the remaining playoff spots.
