Guwahati, Dec 8 (NationPress) The top seeds in women’s doubles, Ashwini Ponnappa and Tanisha Crasto, along with the men’s singles third seed Sathish Kumar Karunakaran, delighted Indian badminton supporters by achieving straight-game victories to seize the Guwahati Masters Super 100 titles on Sunday.

Ashwini and Tanisha, the only duo to defend their championship, triumphed over China’s Li Hua Zhou and Wang Zi Meng with scores of 21-18, 21-12 in a final that lasted 43 minutes, securing the prestigious title without losing a single game.

In the final match of the day, Sathish Kumar added another Super 100 title to his collection, defeating Zhu Xuan Chen from China with scores of 21-17, 21-14. The 23-year-old had previously claimed the Odisha Masters Super 100 title last year and is now set to head to Bhubaneshwar filled with confidence.
