Following an overnight stay at the Raj Bhawan in Srinagar, he will embark on a packed schedule beginning at 11 am, which includes a review of various developmental initiatives within the Union Territory (UT).

Attendees of the developmental review meeting chaired by Amit Shah will include J&K Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.

Subsequently, the Home Minister will lead a security review meeting that will feature participation from Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, IB Director Tapan Deka, senior officials from the MHA responsible for J&K affairs, along with the chiefs of J&K Police, paramilitary forces, and intelligence agency officers. Both gatherings are scheduled to take place at the Raj Bhawan.

Upon his arrival on Monday, Amit Shah visited the Humhama area near the Srinagar International Airport to express his condolences to the family of the martyred J&K Police Dy SP, Humayun Bhat. He spent around 20 minutes with Ghulam Hassan Bhat, the retired IGP and father of Humayun, offering sympathy to both him and Fatima, the officer's wife, as well as blessing their 20-month-old child.

L-G Manoj Sinha and CM Omar Abdullah accompanied the Home Minister during this visit. Humayun was killed on September 13, 2003, while combating a group of terrorists in the forests of Kokernag Tehsil in the Anantnag district. Recognized for his courage and professionalism, he was awarded the Kirti Chakra posthumously. Following this visit, Amit Shah returned to the Raj Bhawan, where he interacted with several individuals and delegations before concluding the day.

During his time in Jammu, Amit Shah met with the families of four police officers who were martyred in encounters with terrorists in the Kathua district. He issued compassionate appointment orders to the bereaved families of the martyrs.

In his discussions in Jammu, he noted that while terrorism has diminished, it has not been completely eradicated in J&K. He assured that the circumstances will return to full normalcy soon.

A closed-door meeting was held with BJP and RSS members at the Jammu residence of Sunil Sharma, the Leader of Opposition in the J&K Assembly.

While visiting the BSF border outpost in Kathua on Monday, the Home Minister commended the BSF for serving as the nation's elite border sentinel force. He mentioned that advanced technology is being provided to the BSF for comprehensive tech-driven border surveillance.

He expressed to the deployed BSF personnel that the nation values their dedication and commitment to safeguarding the country’s borders. “You fulfill your duties year-round, 24/7, regardless of torrential rain, extreme cold, or sweltering heat. The BSF has a remarkable history, and you truly deserve the honor the force has garnered among the countrymen,” he remarked to the BSF officers and personnel.

After wrapping up his schedule in Srinagar, Amit Shah will return to Delhi in the afternoon.
