Patna, Feb 26 (NationPress) The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Bihar’s leading opposition party, has accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of instigating a communal agenda during his recent visit to the Seemanchal area.
On Thursday, RJD MLA Bhai Virendra claimed that Shah's visit was intended to target a specific community. He asserted that whenever the Home Minister visits a region, he seeks to bolster "communal forces" and acts against a particular faith.
“Every time he appears, he ignites communal strife. He works to advance divisive elements within the nation and targets a specific religion,” stated Bhai Virendra.
Previously, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition, also characterized Shah’s visit to Seemanchal as politically charged, associating it with the forthcoming Assembly elections in the adjacent state of West Bengal.
The ruling coalition responded strongly to these claims. Madhav Anand, an MLA from the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM), dismissed the opposition's remarks, arguing that they become uneasy whenever the Home Minister is in the state.
“They experience discomfort whenever the Home Minister visits. Amit Shah is the Iron Man, which naturally makes them feel uneasy. The truth is that he reviews developmental initiatives and addresses issues related to Bihar’s advancement,” Anand remarked.
BJP leader and Bihar minister Lakhendra Paswan also criticized the opposition, asserting that Shah's visit was centered on national security and the prevention of infiltration.
“Their hearts race whenever Amit Shah is in Bihar. The Home Minister is here to halt infiltration. If Bhai Virendra and Tejashwi Yadav are perturbed by this, it indicates they do not wish for infiltrators to be expelled from Bihar,” Paswan stated.
He further noted that Shah’s meetings were focused on enhancing border security and tightening regulations to thwart illegal infiltration into the state.
During his visit, Amit Shah inaugurated and virtually laid the groundwork for various infrastructure projects of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at Border Outposts in Leti and Indarwa, located in Araria district, emphasizing the Central Government's commitment to strengthening border management and security infrastructure in the region.
