Army Uncovers Terrorist Hideout in Reasi, J&K; Seizes Weapons and Ammunition

Jammu, December 11 (NationPress) The army successfully uncovered a terrorist hideout on Wednesday in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, leading to the recovery of a substantial amount of arms and ammunition.

According to officials, the troops from Rashtriya Rifles (RR) discovered the hideout in the Mahore forest area of Reasi district during a search operation.

From the site, forces recovered one AK rifle, three magazines, 400 AK rounds, two pistols with two magazines containing 14 rounds, and two hand grenades.

The search operation in the area is ongoing, and further details are expected soon, as stated by the officials.

Security forces have initiated a robust campaign against terrorists, their over ground workers (OGWs), and sympathizers to dismantle the terror ecosystem in J&K.

The army, security forces, and police are conducting coordinated operations against terrorists following several heinous attacks after the peaceful, public-participative Lok Sabha and legislative assembly elections in the union territory.

Intelligence agencies believe that after the successful conduct of elections in J&K, the terrorism handlers across the border have grown impatient and are directing terrorists to carry out attacks against the army, security forces, police, and civilians.

Terrorists were responsible for the killing of seven civilians, including six workers of an infrastructure company and a local doctor in the Gagangir area of Ganderbal on October 20.

Additionally, on October 24, terrorists killed three army soldiers and two civilian porters in the Botapathri area of Gulmarg.
