Kolkata, Dec 24 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) asserted on Wednesday that Hindus in West Bengal face the same level of vulnerability as their counterparts in neighboring Bangladesh, referencing a recent post on social media by prominent Bangladeshi author and poet Taslima Nasreen.
This post features images of homes ablaze, illustrating how a Muslim mob in Rauzan, Chittagong, Bangladesh, locked Hindu homes and set them on fire after dousing them with petrol.
BJP’s IT Cell chief Amit Malviya reposted Nasreen's content on his official X account, claiming that while Hindus in Bangladesh face mass killings at the hands of extremist groups, those protesting against such violence in West Bengal face state-sponsored repression.
“In Bangladesh, radical mobs hunt down and kill Hindus. In West Bengal, the state government, via its police, brutally suppresses Hindus who dare to protest,” Malviya remarked on Nasreen’s post.

“In Rauzan, Chittagong, brutal Muslims locked Hindu homes from the outside, drenched them in petrol, and set them ablaze. The homes were reduced to ashes. The Hindus barely escaped with their lives. What hope do they have of rebuilding? Will Yunus take action against the Muslim extremists? Will he offer support to the Hindus?
