Did U'kand CM Dhami Just Expose Rahul and Tejashwi's Politics?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Patna, Oct 30 (NationPress) Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami vehemently criticized Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday, accusing them of promoting divisive politics and lacking a comprehensive vision for the development of Bihar.
While addressing a significant public rally in the Harsidhi constituency of East Champaran in support of BJP candidate Krishnanandan Paswan, Dhami emphasized that the opposition is primarily motivated by vote-bank politics rather than genuine governance or public welfare.
“The BJP’s governance model is rooted in law, order, and development, steering clear of appeasement politics,” Dhami stated, asserting that the citizens of Bihar are aware of the divisive strategies employed by the opposition.
In drawing comparisons between Uttarakhand and Bihar, Dhami pointed out initiatives taken in his state to combat issues he described as “love jihad,” religious conversions, and unregistered madrassas. He indicated that similar policies would be enacted in Bihar if the BJP is reinstated.
Additionally, the Chief Minister condemned those who, he alleged, mock Hindu traditions and festivals. “Those who belittle celebrations like Chhath Puja are disrespecting Sanatan Dharma and the sentiments of millions of devotees,” Dhami remarked while interacting with reporters post-event.
Joining Dhami at the rally, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) national president Santosh Suman echoed the criticism, stating that Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi merely replicate promises without any means or genuine intent to fulfill them.
“Bihar deserves a government that propels it forward, not one that drags it back to the era of jungle raj. The populace seeks stability and progress, not empty promises,” Suman asserted.
Suman also challenged Rahul Gandhi’s claims of vote theft and urged him to present evidence. “Rahul Gandhi speaks without substantiation and disrespects both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chhathi Maiya. The people of Bihar will respond aptly,” Suman added.
This rally is part of the BJP’s intensified campaign efforts across pivotal constituencies in Bihar, with senior leaders and allies making prominent visits to strengthen the NDA’s stance ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections.
In the meantime, Rahul Gandhi has been facing mounting scrutiny for remarks he made during a joint rally with Tejashwi Yadav in Muzaffarpur on Wednesday, alleging that Prime Minister Modi would “do anything for votes.”
“Modi ji is currently unconcerned about anything but votes. If you ask him to show us how to dance on stage for votes, he will oblige. He will do anything for votes,” Rahul Gandhi stated, further accusing the Prime Minister of orchestrating “drama” surrounding Chhath Puja, a highly revered festival in Bihar.
Simultaneously, the Uttarakhand CM shared on X: “No appeasement, no oppression. Bihar will once again choose an NDA government.”
He encouraged the public to vote decisively for the NDA while supporting BJP candidate Krishnanandan Paswan.
Dhami criticized the Congress and the RJD, asserting that their true aim has always been to retain power for personal gain. “They have never prioritized the welfare of ordinary children; their only concern has always been for their own families,” he stated.
He further lamented that under RJD’s governance, Bihar experienced jungle raj, where extortion, murder, kidnapping, and fear were commonplace.
“Law and order had deteriorated, Naxalism was rampant, and it was the poor, marginalized communities, and women who suffered the most,” concluded the Uttarakhand Chief Minister.
