Haryana Chief Secretary Evaluates Rs 5,758 Crore Infrastructure Initiatives

Chandigarh, Dec 31 (NationPress) Haryana Chief Secretary Vivek Joshi on Tuesday evaluated a total of 11 infrastructure initiatives, each worth Rs 100 crore, from five different departments, culminating in an overall estimated expenditure of Rs 5,758 crore. These projects are designed to bolster the state’s infrastructure and significantly improve service delivery for its residents.
The reviewed projects consist of three initiatives from the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department totaling Rs 2,939.50 crore, two from the Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department valued at Rs 215.36 crore, one from the Civil Aviation Department costing Rs 1,205 crore, one from the Health and Family Welfare Department at Rs 500 crore, and four projects from the Energy Department amounting to Rs 898.64 crore.
Issuing firm directives, the Chief Secretary emphasized that any unnecessary delays in completing the projects within the stipulated timelines would be unacceptable. He stated, “If any contractor or agency fails to meet the deadlines, immediate action must be taken against them, along with other necessary measures to ensure project completion.”
He further instructed that the departments should regularly update project statuses on the designated portal.
The Chief Secretary also called for ongoing monitoring and acceleration of the apple, fruit, and vegetable market development in Pinjore, which is under construction at a cost of Rs 139.50 crore.
It was reported that the construction of Phase II of the Swaran Jayanti Integrated Aviation Hub in Hisar is nearing completion, with the remaining tasks expected to be finalized promptly.
The Integrated Aviation Hub, with a budget of Rs 1,205 crore, is anticipated to enhance air connectivity throughout the state.
For the establishment of animal farms and sheds and the construction of poultry farm buildings in Hisar, the tender process has been completed, and construction is currently in progress, as informed to the Chief Secretary.
Regarding the development of the Maharana Pratap Horticultural University campus in Karnal, the Chief Secretary urged that the construction of the main building and hostel be expedited to ensure that students can access these facilities as soon as possible.
