Burhanpur (Madhya Pradesh), March 23 (NationPress) The HPV vaccination initiative is rapidly gaining traction in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, as girls aged 9 to 14 years receive their vaccinations at schools and health centers. This effort is part of a nationwide program launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi aimed at preventing cervical cancer among young females.

The campaign not only focuses on administering vaccines but also includes educational awareness programs to inform communities about the advantages of vaccination.

Vijay Kumar Soni, a Field Officer from the Health Department, noted that this initiative is a collaborative effort involving the Health, Education, and Women and Child Development Departments.

"We aim to provide the vaccine in a manner that is both free and easily accessible. Through effective collaboration among various government sectors, we are ensuring the goals of this initiative are met," Soni stated.

He further emphasized that the vaccination program, which was introduced nationally under the direction of Prime Minister Modi, is designed to reach as many eligible girls as possible within the next three months.

The Madhya Pradesh Health Department has confirmed that the HPV vaccine is not only safe but highly effective in preventing cervical cancer, which is a leading cause of cancer-related fatalities among women in India.

The campaign has witnessed strong participation from local educational institutions.

Students from Arvachin India School expressed their opinions on the initiative. Ishita Patil, a student, commented, "This is beneficial for all girls as it safeguards us against future cancer risks."

Another student, Sondharya Patil, expressed her appreciation for the Union government, saying, "I want to thank Prime Minister Modi for introducing such a valuable scheme for our health and future."

Sakshi Solanki, who has received the vaccine, encouraged others to participate in the program. "We have taken this vaccination today. It is very advantageous for our health, and I urge everyone to get vaccinated as it protects us from diseases like cancer. I also want to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for launching this initiative," she remarked.

Rajnandini Rathore, another student, echoed similar thoughts.

This vaccination drive is a component of the Union government's extensive public health campaign aimed at diminishing the incidence of cervical cancer in India. By providing vaccines at schools and health centers, authorities aim to maximize coverage and ensure that every eligible girl can access this crucial health intervention.
