New Delhi, Feb 17 (NationPress) As India hosts the five-day AI Impact Summit 2026, the largest gathering of technology experts globally, it highlights the government's commitment to aligning with global advancements in AI technology. This reaffirms India's ambition to make significant progress in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deep technology.

The popular social media account, Modi Story, outlined the nation’s transformation from being an 'AI laggard' to a digital powerhouse, attributing this remarkable shift to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The account elaborates on how technology has empowered everyday citizens over the last decade.

Initiatives like Direct Benefit Transfers, UPI payments, and the Digital India initiative stand as the cornerstones of the Modi administration's achievements in the past 10 years, demonstrating how technology has been maximized to ensure public welfare schemes reach every individual, regardless of socioeconomic status.

In a video shared by Modi Story, Pratyush Kumar, the co-founder of Sarvam AI, who met with PM Modi during a recent roundtable with Indian start-ups, mentioned that the Prime Minister's insights and advice to emerging entrepreneurs will significantly influence India's trajectory in the digital realm and help establish a new AI ecosystem.

“The core message was that innovation should be accessible to all,” he recounted, highlighting three critical aspects of the Prime Minister's recommendations: understanding AI's connection to our civilization, its effects on people's lives, and strict adherence to ethical standards.

During a gathering with AI entrepreneurs at his residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, last month, PM Modi characterized India as a positive technology adopter, stressing that discussions about artificial intelligence should not be limited to theoretical possibilities.

Kumar praised the theme of the ongoing AI Impact Summit 2026, noting that it emphasizes outcomes and practical implementation.

He further elaborated on the Prime Minister’s vision, stating that the goal is “not merely to host an event in India but to create an impactful event for India.”

“The Prime Minister underscored the swift advancement of AI and the necessity for India to expedite its AI Mission. His vision aims to position India at the forefront of the global AI dialogue,” he remarked.

During discussions with AI start-up leaders, the Prime Minister also emphasized optimizing technology for citizen service, similar to how DBT has benefited farmers through direct transfers.

“The model could be designed so that a farmer seeking crop advice or a student in need of personalized learning assistance can directly benefit from AI platforms,” stated the founder of Sarvam AI, a leading firm dedicated to harnessing AI potential for India and its populace through collective national efforts.
