New Delhi, June 8 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that the NDA government has transformed women-led development over the past 11 years, showcasing the achievements of women who are excelling and inspiring many. Reflecting on this milestone, he noted that these initiatives have enabled women to chase their aspirations on their own terms.
In a post on social media X, he stated, "In the last 11 years, the NDA Government has redefined women-led development. Through a variety of programs, from promoting dignity with Swachh Bharat to fostering financial inclusion via Jan Dhan accounts, we have concentrated on empowering our Nari Shakti."
The Prime Minister highlighted that the Ujjwala Yojana has provided smoke-free kitchens to numerous households. MUDRA loans have allowed countless women entrepreneurs to realize their dreams independently. Additionally, the PM Awas Yojana has significantly impacted by facilitating homes registered in women’s names.
He noted that the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative has sparked a national movement aimed at safeguarding the girl child.
“Women are thriving across various sectors, including science, education, sports, StartUps, and the armed forces, serving as role models for many,” the PM added.
He also shared the comprehensive outcomes of all the initiatives launched for women's welfare over the past 11 years.
The government, led by Prime Minister Modi, has rolled out numerous flagship programs aimed at empowering rural India and women. These social welfare initiatives have addressed immediate concerns and played a crucial role in lifting millions out of poverty.
No longer viewed as mere beneficiaries, women are recognized as empowered agents of change pivotal to India’s growth narrative, as stated in a government press release.
The release further noted, "With a bold, inclusive, and lifecycle-oriented approach, the government has initiated targeted efforts in health, education, housing, digital access, sanitation, and financial inclusion. Nari Shakti is now a national mission, ensuring every woman—whether urban or rural, young or elderly—can live with dignity, safety, and self-reliance."
As women and children account for nearly 67.7 percent of India's population, the government perceives their empowerment as a strategic necessity and not merely a social reform. "As India embraces Amrit Kaal, Nari Shakti emerges as the driving force for a more robust and inclusive nation," the release concluded.
