Patna, Jan 20 (NationPress) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set to visit Supaul today as part of his ongoing Pragati Yatra. During his visit, he will assess development initiatives, inaugurate, and lay the groundwork for over 200 schemes with a combined value of Rs 289 crore.

Several ministers and departmental officials will join him as part of the accompanying delegation.

Authorities have enforced strict security protocols, including the establishment of helipads at three separate sites to facilitate his arrival.

The Pragati Yatra is a program where the Chief Minister dedicates a day to each district, focusing on evaluating and promoting the execution of development programs.

It is anticipated that CM Kumar will spend around four hours in the district during the Pragati Yatra.

During his time there, he will inaugurate 52 schemes worth Rs 163.84 crore and lay the foundation stones for projects valued at Rs 134.22 crore.

In total, the Chief Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for 210 projects amounting to Rs 289 crore.

CM Nitish Kumar will first arrive by helicopter at the helipad in Bakaur. Subsequently, he will reach the helipad near the Baghla River in the Triveniganj block before proceeding to the district headquarters in Supaul.

He will conduct a review meeting at the district Collectorate and then return to Patna from the helipad located at the ITI ground.

On Saturday, as part of his Pragati Yatra, the Chief Minister visited Begusarai district, where he inaugurated or laid the foundation stones for 641 projects worth Rs 563 crore.

During his visit to Begusarai, he emphasized inspecting ongoing development projects in the area and held review meetings regarding various initiatives.

He inaugurated a 75-bed sub-divisional hospital in the Majahaul block as well as a circle office building in Begusarai block.

The Chief Minister visits one district each day to evaluate the progress of various development schemes in anticipation of upcoming elections this year.
